Hi --- not sure if you got my earlier msg - I checked my sent/out box, and my note to you wasn't there... I recall in one of your thread that you had gotten ur garage down sealed -do you recall the name of the company that did it?
We installed a water softener after the builder encouraged us to put in a 5 stage reverse osmosis water system under the sink. so now we have the water softener and our drinking water hooked up to the reverse osmosis which is connected to our Fridge Freezer. It is recommended to have drinking water separate from the softened water. i have been reading up on RO (reverse osmosis) and this process actually removes the salt from the water. We used Eco water systems to install our softener just this week. Will let you know how it is working for us.
No I am closing on May 14th so I am just two months away from doing so. But I think I will get one because there is a strong consensus that the water is hard in Stouffville and it leaves stains, not to mention that it can damage your laundry machine over time etc. I will head up on a Saturday soon and stop by Water Depot in Stouffville. They are the experts I heard. If they're not opened on a Sat. then I'll go on a weekday one of these days. If I am convinced that I should get one I will asap so that my stuff doesn't get damaged by the water.

I noticed you bought a detached home in Stouffville from Greenpark. I bought one from Starlane homes. Are you living there as yet and have you installed a water softerner in your house?
