Barrhaven Development Plans
I noticed a new retail area that will be going in on the north side of Strandherd just before where Fraser Fields was supposed to be built. Other than the Royal Oak that I saw on the sign does anyone have any idea what else will be going in there? With all the projected growth Barrhaven needs more restaurants and retail badly.

Was it Royal Oak or Royal Bank? I thought I saw Bank - I'd prefer Oak though :D

Maybe it was bank and my wishful thinking misled me. :( Anything better than another bank going in there?

There is a Royal Oak and a Royal Bank. A dentist a pharmacy a spa/salon and that's all i can remeber right now

There was a sign there with all the new businesses going in there. I remember the Royal Bank I believe and a hair dresser.

If I'm thinking of the right place, my friends are opening a coffee/tea house there called Two Monkeys. :)

Welcome all the new business to the neighborhood. I have all my financial services with RBC and have frequented the one at the corner of Woodroffe and Strandherd

Another one around the block certainly won't hurt.

They should put a Grace O'Malleys in Barrhaven!

This might interested those particularly in the Half Moon Bay area

Wow - I grew up in Barrhaven and have been living in Toronto for the past few years. I've been reading this forum for a while because we are hoping to move back to Ottawa (hopefully Barrhaven area) shortly and I cannot get over how much Barrhaven has grown in that time! I remember back when there wasn't even McDonalds in Barrhaven!!!
