Hi all, has anyone heard of any cases where a big subwoofer in a home theater caused some damage to the home due to vibrations? I'm thinking of buying the SVS PB-2000 subwoofer.

That's ridiculous.

nope! never.

I'm glad you both said that. However, i tried my 150 watt subwoofer in my basement and at one point i heard something vibrate and i think it was the ducts in the ceiling. I'm thinking of buying a 500 watt sub (the 150 watt sub is for my family room). I wonder what that's going to do.

Causing some ducts to rattle is not the same as causing some damage to your home. I think your neighbors will complain about the noise long before you cause any damage!

Just stop listening to this guy.

if you have a problem with me, when you see my posts, don't read them. why do you even bother with me then?

I know the question sounded dumb, but I wanted to make sure. I saw a video on youtube where this guy got this sub and he heard his drywall making noises. these subs are the same as the ones you see at BestBuy. those are toys compared to this one.
