For those who are interested in getting a brand new house Fernbrook is releasing new lots for Phase 2B on SATURDAY, APRIL 21 @ 11 AM from $575,900.

I heard the Fernbrook models will be offered at $20K more than the previous (March 2012) release.

Max is actually playing games. He was calling would be interested people and offering them discounts. My house is on sell 40k less then their price and he called her and offered the same price as ours. People are going to back out. They have few days to reconsider.

People is not fool, they do their research when they are hunting ...
If you priced your house correctly, you wont have any problem selling it.
Something against people who are selling right now is the fact that Fernbrook is releasing new lots and also the high inventory of houses for sale.

Hire a "good" realtor that can fight back low offers = Minrate is one of those who knows the market in Alton very well ;)

Fernbrook's hype?
 
What happened to the Fernbrook hype (the tent, the waiting list and line-up, selling 30 lots in one day etc.) from the March release?

How many lots did they release April 21st, what were the prices like and how many did they manage to sell?

I am sure the current high inventory is due to it being Spring - everyone wants to buy and sell in the spring - thus we see a normal, annual, temporary increase in the houses on offer.

Actually, there weren't a lot of buyers like we assumed. It was waaaay too overpriced if you ask me. No tents or long ques. It was weird that some of the resales in Alton were priced cheaper

Is it just me or has the bubble bursted? I see alot of houses forsale longer and cheaper than new build.
