My parents have had cellular shades for years. Bugs crawl inside and die. The cords are constantly breaking (although always replaced under warranty, still a PITA). I'm not a big fan.

Odd... I was looking at the map at Deer Run phase 3 on West Ridge and the only grayed out area was Deer Run park. All the Metric/Holitzner/Cardel areas look fine.

$750 eh? wow. I'm pretty sure at my framewalk, the fireplace box was raised with a frame built out of some 2x4 pieces... maybe about $20 in materials at most. yikes.

I think it would. I have maple floors in a colour called Stone which is a brown/gray and similar in shade to walnut. The granite has little flecks of garnet/brown in it that ties things together.
