No, That was for a painter to do it afterward. We decide against paying the builder extra for poor paint in a limited selection of colours.

We are getting a Royal Edward (3200sqf)- so it will have a reasonably sized portion that will be two stories in the living room. Other than that, no ceilings, no crown, yes trim, maybe a couple of different colours but nothing extraordinary...

He did say he would be using Diamond Matt paint though. It sounded really great.

sounds high to me - I'd get more quotes for sure

Diamond matte paint is very good but not the most expensive paint by any means

They sell it at the old Colour Your World stores so you can get a retail price as a guideline.

The paint contractor will get both bulk quantity and contractor discounts too.

Is someone going to fix/touch up the walls before you paint or is that part of the $7000 price?

I am hoping that there will not be much to fix/patch.
This is for our new place. We are planning on having all our "homeowner upgrades" done after our 30 inspection (read: after 30 days of ensuring that the upstairs main bath does not leak into the kitchen - like every resale RE we have looked at)
