Default Which Would You Choose?

What would be wiser to do if you have following option for a Free Hold townhouse:

Free Upgrades Offer From builder:

AC
5 Appliances
+
Either 10,000 off the price

OR

13,500 towards upgrade.

Which would you choose and why?

Okay, not sure why (screen name) needthebucks would make such a nasty comment to (screen name) aulikh. I guess you have never heard the saying, "If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it at all!"

This is a friendly and helpful community. Your derogatory comments are not appreciated by our welcoming community of new home buyers. In future please think before you write.

Easy one. If you're planning on spending more than $10k on upgrades, then take the upgrade credit. If not, take the price reduction.

I would choose price reduction.....you would have a/c which you would have to get, the appliances you need and with the money off the house do your own upgrades and save more money that way...

Are you planning to do any upgrades? Will it be 13K or more? If so, go for the upgrade deal. If you plan very little upgrades, then go for the price reductions.

I would think that the quality of the AC they are giving you is not great. And the same thing with the appliances. So you may end up having to spent money on these (especially the appliances).
