Hi,

Just wondering if we get a mail key when we move in or do we have to pick up our mail at the post office?

Mail keys are picked up at the post office. Should be available at least 2 weeks ahead of time.

They are located on Brown Street just off of Main, right across from Town Hall.

Yes. We got ours at least 2 weeks earlier than we got the house. I think you may have to show them the purchase agreement or something from the builder though.

I go to the post office once a week. Next time I am there I'll get the exact details.

I spoke to the post office today on Brown Street.

Any mail addressed to a new residence which does not yet have a box set up will have everything held at the post office.

You can stop in anytime at the post office and pick it up by showing a drivers license with your name on it, and providing it matches that of the addressee on the mail, you are fine.

Once you get your place, you should have a box set up at the community mail box. Go to the post office with a copy of the Ontario New Home Warranty form (you get that from your builder during your PDI), and your drivers license, and they will give you a key for the community box.
