Hi there - just checking in to see how things are going on your end.

Kariw - your house is going up really quickly - you must be so excited! Did you finalize all your finishing choices as planned?

SandraSG - have you put your current house up for sale yet?

Our foundation is poured and they've been working on the house the last couple of weeks so I suspect we'll start seeing some framing soon. We just put our current house up for sale on Friday - let's hope the market starts picking up and we can all sell our current homes quickly to help reduce the stress...good luck to you both!

Cheers.

Hi!
Our current house went up for sale a week and a half ago. So far, we've had a ton of visits but still no offer. It's hard being patient...

Hi ladies, yes loads of progress on our home, it's pretty exciting!
Though I will say, we've already noted some difficiencies, ugh.

Our finishing appointments went really well; we have one, maybe two more to go. I think it's just my ensuite, then miscellaneous items, like faucets and handles to go.

We've started purging our home, getting it ready to list. I suspect it will be listed by the end of March. We've still got a sizable list to tackle.

Can't wait for the summer!

Hi Kariw - glad the finishing appointments went well and that you're almost done! Can you elaborate a bit about the 'deficiencies' you've noted? It may help me keep my eyes open as we're going through the same stages. I've been taking pictures along the way and have researched a lot of course. This is our third build but we've never had one dug and built in the dead of winter - so far, I'm not really happy with having 2 feet of snow in my basement...hopefully that will not matter in the long run but we're not experts so any tips and tricks regarding any step would be helpful of course.

Good luck getting your house ready to sell - I know what you mean about the list - we had at least 20-30 items to tackle! Cheers.

Hi neighbours!

How are you doing? Things are moving along nicely in our neighbourhood - we almost have a roof! Actually I haven't gone since Monday so maybe we do by now. We've had 1 of 3 finishing appointments and have 99% of our upgrades selected so we're getting there.

Kariw - your house is coming along great - you DO have a roof - hooray! How are the preparations for putting the house up for sale going? Have you listed it yet? I know you were thinking end of March.

How about you SandraSG - any luck selling yours? When do you move into your new place?

We just sold our house - hooray! I hope you're having some luck despite the crappy weather, late spring, and slightly slower market...drop by for an update whenever you can...cheers!

I know all of you will probably be new to the area but I was told there is a Splash Pad in the Minto development on the other side of Portabello. Does anyone know what street it is on? I would like to take a walk and find it.
