![]() I'm wondering how long it's going to take me to get to work for 8:30 and then get home leaving at 5:00? Is there a better way than taking the 401? I was thinking about taking Thompson to Britannia and then going down to the 403. |

Hello,
I don't live in Milton yet but I too work by the airport. So far, I'm planning on taking Derry to the 407 and taking the 407 across. I think it will save a lot of time avoiding the 401. The only downfall is the toll. The 403 is just so far south and it will take forever to get there...in my opinion. I have also learned from friends living in Milton that Thompson, Derry and Main are all jammed at rush hour. If anyone living in Milton now has a better route, I'd love to hear about it. Thanx |

getting to the airport will only take you 45minutes from here if you take 401 to 427. barring any accidents ofcourse, i don't think 45 minutes is worth trying to figure out a new route.
but 407 would be the fastest but i would get on at the 401, there is rarely traffic until winston churchill |

Hi,
You should be able to make it to the Airport in 25 - 30 minutes if U take the 401 and there is no traffic. If you noticed that the Traffic is starting to back-up after you pass Winston Churchill. I would get at Erin Mills Pwky and head North until you hit Derry Road. Turn Right on Derry Road and take it to the Hwy 10(Hurontario) and go south and pick up the 401 from there or you can take Derry Road to the 410 and go south on the 410 to 401. I don't know how busy the 410 is at that time. I work at Victoria Park and 401 and it take me 40 - 45 minutes during rush hour. You would be surprised to see how well Traffic flows along Derry Road. |

Thanks everyone,
I didn't realize that it was that quick taking the 401. Thanks for the different options too...taking derry from Erin Mills sounds like a great idea. |

I have a friend in Milton who commutes to and from the airport area.
Going home, he advised to take the 401 W collectors to 410 north, then exit off Courtney Park and take Courtney Park W until Mavis. You can then go south on Mavis and get back on the 401. I tried it once during rush hour and it worked like a charm. Got to Milton in 30 min. |

Hi All,
I work at 401 and Dixie and drive from Milton every day. I've been doing it for over a year. It's a solid 45 minutes on the 401... Jodie |

I work at Derry and Tomken and take Derry all the way to Milton. I have made it in 17-20 minutes flat- during lunch hour. During rush hour I'm not sure yet. We don't actually move till December. I'm sure I could have made it in less than 10 minutes during lunch hour.
