Default Where in the GTA did you find the best deals on appliances?

I am looking for new appliances and was wondering where did everyone end up buying theirs? Where did you shop and who has the best deals? Thanks in advance for feedback. The brands I am considering are: LG, Kitchen Aid and Samsung.

I very highly recommend Caplans's Appliances. Very friendly staff and great selection.

We went to the brick BUT we went to a specific salesrep that was recommended on this board....got a great deal on all of our appliances which included whirpool, bosch and LG. Several would match, no one would beat.

Shop your best price....then go to Sears. They price match anybody.

OR

e-bay, can be a pain to get shipped or pick-up , but some good deals.

second vote for Caplans! We went to Sears, The Brick, Tasco, etc and Caplan's gave us the best bang for buck. Salesguy spent about 2 hours with us helping us pick out our KA kitchen and Whirlpool washer/dryer set. In the end, we got everything we wanted at I think 28% off MSRP and we were happy with that (no haggling required!)

We bought all of our kitchen appliances from Future Shop at the '08 Spring Home Show in Toronto. We went the evening of the last day of the show and they basically asked us what we wanted to pay and when we told them our price they said ok!

They are storing our items for us until we move in, free delivery, price matching should the price drop and warranty does not start until delivery!

We will be going back for our washer and dryer next year.

Good luck!

Definitely Appliance Canada for us too..

Lowes is tricky. They will price match, but only with an official quote on the company's letterhead. What company is going to type out their quotes on letter head for you to shop around with? The 10% that they will beat the price by also only is valid for items that they have in stock. Anything that is special order (which for us was most things) they will only price match, but again only with the official quotes. When we told them the quotes that we had received from Appliance Canada and Tasco they said there was no way they could match them without something official as our quotes were so much lower than their retail prices.
