Is Mr. Chadwick on here? I would like to add my name to his list.

Kudos to the Chadwicks for taking matters in their own hands rather than a passive laisez-faire approach that most phase 5 buyers took. With eye-opening negative press like this, Mattamy will have to change their ways or be lynched out of town.

What I don't get is that they're still selling more lots and people are still buying. I don't know if it's ignorance on those buyers' part, Mattamy's superior sales skills, or both.

I think its a mixture of both. Up untill now you'd have to do a little diging to find some of this info out - Mattamy winning the DJPowers award again doesn't help. Most of what I know comes from this website. I actually found it while researching Mattamy and it helped us to buy elsewhere.

As for their sales skills - I think it has more to do with the bottom line. They have the cheapest list prices in Ottawa and for many people, espcially those entering the market, that is what counts. For that reason you will never see Mattamy "run out of town"...

Phase 2 Fairwinds North has nothing to do with the issues in Phase 5.

You are forgetting the most important points:
1. Price
2. Quality
3. Design

I am not saying that there are no other builders in Ottawa area who dont have quality, good price, and great design, but no one has them as a package deal.

I think Nanners means that they are only selling in Fairwnds north right now, not in phase 5. The lots that people are buying are not in the area of the phase 5 issues. Mind you, they may end up delayed for others reasons just like most of us...

That's exactly what I was saying. Thanks Karrietg!

As well as location. Especially for hockey fans. I know others in Phase 5 have looked around at resale and other builders but location always comes to mind.
