Default Minto Mapleton/Noble Model

We purchased the Mapleton model and were wondering if anyone else had also purchased that model?

It was one of the three we were considering but we ended up with a different model. The model home is really nice!

If you don’t mind me asking, what was the deciding factor between the Mapleton and the other model you purchased? Just curious if there are things we didn’t consider

A few things:
- we didnt like the layout of the den at the front if it were to be closed off with doors.
- we needed a den that could be used as a small bedroom with a powder room that could be upgraded to a full bathroom on the ground floor (one of my elderly inlaws has difficulty navigating stairs)
- we wanted a ensuite on the second floor with a walk-in closet and walk in closets for the other bedrooms
- 52 foot lot size preference

We actually had the noble/mapleton as our second choice on our bid submission (45 foot lot) in the event the larger lot sizes ran out. My daughter really loved the balcony out front for the Mapleton C/Noble B version (we were able to visit the Noble model house in Manotick).

We purchased the Noble B elevation. Totally love the sunken family room/loft!

We're looking at purchasing a Mapleton and wanted to ask existing Mapleton/Noble home owners for their thoughts and advice.

What advice would you give new Mapleton buyers? Anything specific to look out for or consider? Any must have options for this particular model? Any upgrades you wish you had done? Any upgrades you could've live without?

What do you like best / least about the home? Any known issues with this model? What's the material of the balcony floor and how is the balcony holding up to the elements? No leaking problems with he balcony?

Has anyone closed off the den and optioned for the glass doors? We want an enclosed office but are concerned about the foyer and how narrow the entry way would be into the house.

Finally, the fridge area and counter in the Mapleton seems much smaller than in the Noble. We're thinking of optioning for a larger fridge opening but the counter space beside the fridge is already very small. Is the existing fridge opening sufficient? Has anyone optioned for a larger fridge area and how did it turn out?

Thanks in advance!

Hi all,

Has anyone upgraded their kitchen to the optional kitchen layout A for the Noble recently? (where the island is switched and extra cabinetry)

if so, do you mind sharing how much this upgrade was?

thank you
