![]() I am in the process of mounting my Sony tv above the fireplace, and have been trying to figure out where to put the very large AC adapter for the tv. I need to extend the cable from the 19.5v PSU brick to the TV. It is about 2ft, I need 15ft. Then, I can hide the brick in the media console. I believe the plug size is 6.5mm x 4.4mm. Google tells me this is a very common problem, only option seems to cut the cable and splice in a 2-core wire in between. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks. |

Hi M&L, unfortunately that is the 2.1mmx5.5mm common size, I need the 6.5mm x 4.4mm, used for Sony Bravia TVs.

Are you hiding the brick in the media console because it won't fit behind the TV?

Which model TV is this? The ones with power adapters are usually under 50" sizes.
For those we just sit the power supply on top of the ledge behind the TV.
