buying a home in Soho west / trail west

Hello, I am new to ottawa and looking to buy our new home. I checked Barrhaven and Orleans and finally with my budget and work location. SOHO west now Trail West seems good for me.

I saw community is growing and Super center on one side and Walmart on other side.

But my friend told me there is some soil issue there. Is it true? Any of you guys have home in SOHO WEST. How is your experience. Any suggestions.

Please clear for SOIL ISSUE.
