Fireplace cannot turn on, any advise would be expected.

1. Gas pipe faucet in on, in basement
2. Wall switch on
3. Fireplace Main switch is ON, see the green light
4 Fireplace, press "on" button, it is supposed to flame, but it did not flame.
5. Press wall switch on reverse direction, then press "on" button at bottom of fireplace, nothing happened.

If it's a new build I'd call the builder. If not, and it hasn't been cleaned lately, I'd get a technician in to troubleshoot the issue and do the maintenance on it.

Mine has a pilot light but will also light without the pilot being on (winter and summer modes).

I'm not clear how the unit will turn on if the pilot is not lit . Unless it has an electronic ignition?

ylyn - The pilot needs to be on before the unit will fire. for your model, depress and turn the knob counterclockwise to pilot, press and hold the knob and continually press the ignitor button until the pilot lights. Once lit, keep the knob depressed for 3-5 seconds, then release. Pilot should stay lit. Now depress and turn knob to the ON position. Now turn on the wall switch.
