Default Urbandale Upgrade Prices

So, since there is a whole contingent of us Urbandale folks on here now (A whole 3 or 4 of us?? If there are any Urbandale people lurking come out and say hi! ) I thought I would start an upgrade thread. I find it SO HELPFUL when people are willing to share their upgrade costs with others. There are a lot of Mattamy prices floating around, but not so many with Urbandale.

I have compiled this list from prices I've been quoted, info from friends who have bought Urbandale, and prices from cdnstar and sweeper (thanks guys!! - hope they don't mind me reposting if you do, let me know!)

Whee.. that's a pretty price for the skylight. I was always wondering how much it would be.

Makes me feel hosed for my 3x4 dining room window though.... seems like a skylight would be a lot more wor!

Default Skylight

The model of our home had a skylight, and we were wanting one (well, I was wanting one!). But when came the time to sign the papers, we were told they no longer offered the skylight as an option. Something about R2000 compliance. I'm so disappointed, I would have loved a skylight

I'll have a few prices to add later tonight also.

Wow those prices are pretty decent. I paid much more with my builder like the jets in the tub that cost me 2500 bucks (eek)

Yay Urbandale!!!

Hey cdnstar.. what does attaching the HRV to two additional rooms do? I don't understand the concept of HRVs to begin with... i just know they are "good".

cabinet stain - i was given 1122 but I see some other quotes for 1500?

Funny I was quoted $1467 for the same kitchen? It was Salem cabinets with Java stain. Maybe more expensive stain?

More upgrade prices- might be some repeats?

Bi-fold at entry instead of mirrored slider - no cost
Bi-fold in secondary bedrooms $ 195.00 - Swing doors $ 255.00
There is only one operational window in the livingroom(Pasadena) (the centre panel).
If you would like an additional operator (i.e. both end panels done - cost
additional $ 111.00
Electronic air cleaners - thru design centre ( I think cost around $
1,000.00)
A/C (2ton) - $2600
Central vac - can and components - $1560 (sears etc.. $500+)
Mirolin bathtub 66"x42" - Whirlpool(water jets) $1750(+$5-600 install), Jetair (air jets)$2100(+5-600), Combo $2800(+5-600)

I know... that's what I said to my husband on the way home.. Someone on here was quoted more than 1122 for the stain.. Java stain on salem cabinets.. exactly what we requested! Maybe we got a "discount" (ha ha yeah right.. i laugh as I say the word discount when we're talking builders) because we bought all the additional cabinetry!?

That is very odd, it is the exact same kitchen right?! You think it would be more to stain all the extra cabinets you ordered.
I wonder how much they "play with the prices? Maybe that is why they don't give them out freely.
