average time to build a house

I have a question regarding how long it takes the builders to build a new house. Our closing is september 30, and they are building foundation now, i see the other houses in my street that were started 1 month ago, they already have the roof i have heard that in summer the building process is faster, so do you think they can finish our house in time? I am expecting a delay but so far they have not notified us yet. What do you think?

6 months typically. I would plan for a delay.

Your lot could be designated a fire break. Every 4-6 houses they may be required to not built a house to limit the amount of houses that could potentially catch fire in a row.

6-9 months is how long it usually takes to build a production home.
