Depends entirely on the perimeter of the roof edges that need to be covered. They'll come out, do a rough measurement and give you a cost based on $ per foot. Our single, back in 2014, costed us around ~$1,200 if I recall, and we went with Modern Eavestroughing.

As xdarrylx mentioned, it really varies depending on your house but we are paying just under $2000 for ours. Also with Modern.

As per the Minto Harmony sitemap, I hope Hamsa gets extended down to Chapman Mills soon! It would make it a lot easier to go to/from Strandherd via Andora than the current winding route we have to take. Also will be really nice once Chapman Mills gets extended to Town Centre, though I know that might be very far into the future. Anyone happen to know any more info about the road plans?

Agreed. We've got a plan 2, 42' model and it was just under $2k tax in. Our friends next door who have a plan 1 50' model paid only slightly more because they had less corners and 1 fewer downspouts. So it really depends.

Yes hopefully they extend Hamsa soon. I'm surprised Chapman Mills at Strandherd isn't blocked off yet. That was supposed to happen at the beginning of the month and last for 2 months.

Neighborhood is looking up. New sod being dropped in yards and paved driveways...all looking good. Anyone hear anything about trees getting planted...anywhere ? Aside from the trees on the South side, that is one area that is lacking.

Also, anyone get eavestroughing priced on the 50' houses? Likely a good idea to get that done before the snow starts.

It’s been great to see the progression. They’re suppose to have the stone filled in on the narrow side of the houses by the end of this week and the final coat of asphalt for our street in the next couple weeks. Haven’t heard anything about trees. We share the fire hydrant with our friends next door so I’m not sure we’ll get one (that was the case with our Minto rental).

Eavestrough is tough to judge by the size of the house as it all depends on the roof line. We went with modern as did our neighbours. We have a 42’ Plan 2 whereas they have a 50’ Plan 1. We both paid roughly the same (a little less than $2k tax in).

Yes, our street no longer feels like a construction zone with the asphalt and sod in! So glad Caivan took care of that quickly. I am curious about the trees as well...with our last new build the trees didn't get planted till over a year after move-in though (but, things with Caivan have moved along a lot quicker so maybe trees will come soon too).

Apparently it will be closed for 2 months starting next week (Sep 14) and then we will get temporary traffic lights, yay! Will make turning left onto Strandherd much easier.

Agreed about turning left on Strandherd.

I posed the question to Caivan about the Hamsa extension. Was told the plans are with the city and not to expect anything until at least 2022. Looks like we’re a ways off.

Oh, that's slightly annoying. Thanks for the update! I thought Minto would do the extension soon since they will be building houses there...ah well.

Hey folks, question for you. I went for a jog through what I believe to be your neighbourhood the other day - are you the southern most new builds just *West* of Home Depot? Great looking houses. I'm curious on one thing. At first glance the houses appear to very big due to how wide they are, but then I noticed that they are also not nearly as deep as what builders have typically done with designs the last couple decades. Just curious if they had a reason for going back to the more "rectangular" shape vs the more square shaped foundations that we see in surrounding areas? To me it seems like a good idea as the front and back of the home is where you find porches, patios etc and the side tends to be unusable space for the most part. Maybe the builder can maximize profit one way vs another?

Also, again just curious, what are the approximate sq footage on these homes for the typical 42 and 50 ft single family double garage lots? I don't see any popping up for re-sale yet.
