Default Stay away from Urbandale

The most incompetent builder I have ever experienced. Blaming the pandemic for everything. PDI complete, occupancy date pushed less then 24 hours before. Angry, Furious...Tarion is completely useless, they work for the builders not the consumer. All this pandemic has proven is how incredibly underhanded, incompetent, and disorganized these so called "luxury builders" actually are.

Wow, they pushed your occupancy date after the PDI?

By how many days? Is it because of issues raised during the PDI?

I think this is less an Urbandale issue and more an issue with Tarion failing to protect buyers during this pandemic. Hasn't the Ontario government been promising to overhaul Tarion?

Wow. Can't believe that Urbandale is still providing such poor service.

How long of a delay will it be?

I'm assuming that whatever caused them to push the closing date must have been serious because they won't be getting their money until the home is closed.

There is no excuse for the way you are being treated. Pandemic or not and Tarion or not Urbandale is seriously dropping the ball. Why can't they simply communicate with their customers? This is unacceptable.

I'm not advocating for anything, but this seems like the type of story the media likes to cover. Leaving someone potentially homeless with less than 24 hours notice before closing is inexcusable and downright repulsive.
