Default Built in Wall Oven, Microwave, & Fridge

Hello All,

the last post I found on this topic was from 2005. Wanted to revisit it.

Has anyone upgraded to a wall oven built into the kitchen cabinetry ?

I am looking to see how much it costs and peoples experiences with it with the builder and/or done later on with contractors. Also, looking to have a builtin microwave on top of oven.

Has anyone looked into fridges with doors that resemble the cabinetry?

Thanks!

The upgrade price from my builder to get cabinetry for a Wall Oven/Microwave was $3400. That included one pot drawer on the bottom.

Thank you for your reply.

Does this price include the actual wall oven or just to change the build of the cabinets to accommodate for a wall oven/microwave.

I'm pretty sure its just the cabinetry price, as some wall ovens run around that price.
Mattamy only offers it in a "Grande Package" for our home, which is $7600 but includes many other things.

Ha! That's exactly what I asked the builder when I saw the price...

That price was just for the cabinets to accommodate the appliances.

It was then another $3400 to accommodate the gas cooktop, which included a cabinet extension out 2", counter top cutout, gas line rough in, and two posts in the base cabinet.

We put in the wall oven and a cooktop and the cabinetry change costs were about $750 (I think...).

We love them and would def get it done again. The only issue we had was that the cut out for the cooktop could not be done until the appliance was in the house, so we had to make an appointment for the builder to come in and do it. We couldn't use the cooktop for about 3 days because of this, but not a big deal in the end.

I personally don't like the fridge in the cabinet look, so I didn't inquire about that one.

Good luck with your decisions.
