Hi saj57, I feel the same way, we purchased in phase one and have been delayed again due to “weather and ability to get the necessary people in to do the jobs” basically. I’ve noticed they seem to be going in order of row and when my husband and I bought we were in the first ten people who bought.

Do you know if they are building phase 2 first? Because that is not acceptable as a reason for delay.

Hi Samabutton, According to the first site plan I received, the houses that are being worked on right now, were in the 'Future development' area of the plan.

Saj57, what lot number did you buy? And on the site plan in your contract does it specify phases? Ours does not so I don’t have any way of confirming.

Hi Samabutton, I'm lot no. 57. Unfortunately there is no notion of phases on the site plan. I only have a sales brochure which has the 'Future development' areas marked on it.

Default delayed closing compensation

Hi Guys,

I purchased a town home that was tentative to close in November 2017. I received a letter in January 2017, that the house was going to be delayed with a "FIRM" closing date of June 2018, and now just recently received a closing date with a "Tentative" closing date of November 2018.

Since the initial delayment letter said "Firm", am i applicable to apply for the "delayed closing compensation" as stated in the purchasing contract?

Has anyone applied for this?

Default Change of Firm Closing Date (Again)

Hi all, I just wanted to let this group know that my firm closing date is moved from June 19, 2018 to July 31, 2018. As the official notice was made today and they didn't communicate before 90 days of the original Firm closing date, I'm eligible for the delayed compensation. I did a little bit of reading and I only can claim it after closing. I will keep this group posted.

Is anyone else in the same situation?

What is the latest? Are you still on track for July 31st? My closing date has already been moved once before and is likely to shift again...I am at the point where I just want my house. I am curious to see how things have worked out for you.

Best
