Default Drywall or cement board near furnace/utility room

Are there building code requirements for the type of wall material enclosing the furnace room? The sides facing the furnace will be exposed studs. On the finished sides - one wall will be a bathroom and the other wall is a rec room.

Should I use regular drywall, type X, water resistant drywall, cement board or something else?

Thanks
