Post VOIP to whole house wiring

Hello all,

We have 3 telephone cables from bedrooms. These cables are not connected to the outside box. They are all just hanging in the basement. I'm trying to connect these cables to the VOIP box in 2nd room. 2nd room wall jack will be used as feeding line.

There is a modular box on the electrical board in the basement with "Red, Green, Yellow and Black" connectors. I have checked all room's wall jack and they are connected with Blue and BlueWhite wires.

I have connected all 3 cable's Blue wire to RED and BlueWhite to Green, no dial tone on the phone.

Please let me know the correct way to fix them.

Attached picture is how it looks now.

Thanks for your help.

Check behind the wall plates to see if they were connected properly.
Everything else you state reads correctly.

Solved.

Neighbor who is Bell tech helped to get this issue solved.

I had to connect another pair of wires to make this happen since VOIP is digital and it cannot work in single pair of wires. So we connected all OrangeWhite and WhiteOrange wires.

Hola... dial tone in all telephone jacks.

That makes zero sense. VOIP is digital to the adapter, and then it provides an analogue jack from there, which is what you are trying to connect to.

Essentially what you have stated is the jacks around the house were wired with the orange pair, not the blue.

That's what my understanding too Greg. All of my wall jacks were connected with BlueWhite and WhiteBlue. But it didn't work until we connected the second pair of OrangeWhite and WhiteOrange. Only difference we noticed was one of the cable running from our living room was 4 pair Cat5 cable and the rest are 3 Pair cable. I even connected only two of the room's 3 pair cable (BlueWhite and WhiteBlue) but it didn't work. I wondered why did they install 4 pairs in living room and 3 pairs in other rooms. Could have been better if they installed Cat5 in all rooms....
