Default powder room door in basement

hi all, I'm putting a powder room in my basement that I'm having finished this summer. does anyone see a problem with the door opening outside rather than inside? I don't see any issues with that, but all other doors in washroom, bedrooms, etc always have the door opening on the inside.

Other than guests expecting it to open inward, I don't see a problem

My parents powder room opens outwards. You just have to open it more slowly just in case someone is standing in front of the door.

that's true. but in a basement that doesn't get used as much as the main floor, I don't think it matters much. thanks guys.

You'll need the hinges on the inside so you'll want to see if the door will open all the way in that case.

Not sure what you mean here? The hinge pins will be on the side that the door swings to. So in this case they would be on the hallway side.

don't worry about it guys, we're going to make it big enough for the door to open inwards anyways.
