Smile Summerside Orleans - Mattamy

Just wondering if anyone else bought in this new development? The corner lot next to ours said "sold" when we purchased.

Oh and I'm formally known as "Baycliffe "B" Elevation" but will be no more in a couple of years when the new house is built.

We are super excited to move into our next Mattamy home !!

Thanks everyone,

We bought the Ferncliffe Model and will be selling our home in HMB and moving out to Orleans. We are definetly going to miss Barrhaven but I know Orleans has alot to offer as well.

We plan to do alot more upgrades to this house as this move is to our long term home.

We are so happy that we took this opportunity and bought as financially it didn't make sense not too as prices will only go up from here.

Most new developments are great investments financially...but not everyone can muster 5%-25% (or more) for a down payment thus they never really get to experience the investment side of puchasing a brand new house!

The upper layout of the Ferncliffe is just awesome...!!

We got in at the early part of HMB so we have done pretty well.

Smile Update!

We are happy to advise that approvals to commence work in Summerside have been received. In the coming weeks, we will begin the initial land development stages of servicing your community - you can expect to see the use of 'Heavy Machinery' while preparing the raw land for residential use. This work includes installation of water & sanitary infrastructure, gas & hydro utilities, as well as, Bell & Roger's services. Completion of the initial land development stage will be marked by road construction and the commencement of housing construction.

This infrastructure work is scheduled to be on-going for about 6 months. During which time, we will see construction of the extension of Portobello Boulevard from the Blackburn Hamlet Bypass Extension to the end of our Summerside community.

While we share in the excitement of watching this work get underway, for everyone's safety we strongly advise that you not access the construction site. During this time, it is a dangerous place and the roads at this stage will not be automobile worthy. We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

In the coming months we will keep you informed of relevant construction and community updates.

That's a pretty sweet email to receive if you're one of the people who've purchased in Summerside!
