Default Stouffville home buyer

Hello,

I was wondering if I was the only Great Gulf home buyer. I purchased a semi (the Millwright 1705 sq. with part. fin. basement). This is my first home.
I really tried to do my research prior to my purchasing. I initially wanted to live in Maple however couldn't get the best for my $.
What have your experiences been with GGH so far? I was really impressed with the floor plan/lay our vs. Mattamy. I like most of the options Fieldgate is offering their home buyers however still prefer the GGH plans.
I couldn't argue the 5k in upgrades along with the appliance pkg. that I opted out of (took an additional 2K in upgrades.)
My lot will be on Park Drive-little concerned because it appears as though it will be a busy road.
We close May 15/06. Pretty exited. I have made several trips to the decor centre and still cannot decide what I want.
Another GGH buyer told me that they will our site is possibly leaning towards Canac as our kitchen provider.

We are on Richard Coulson on lot 208, what lot are you on? What is the appliance package you referred to? We were offered $5k in upgrades, but no appliances. We are also very excited and did alot of research into other builders and areas before buying with GGH. We have really enjoyed the process with GGH so far and found other builders not nearly as helpful.

Default Appliance package

Hello,
I hope you took advantage of the GREAT weather this weekend.
So you purchased the Summitview. Great choice and fantastic layout. We are lot 180 on Park Dr. It looks like this road will be very busy!!

I think the appliance package was only for the semi-detached models. I would send you a picture of my home however my layout is currently not on the GGH website.

My experience with the sales office has been great although the decor centre experience was a bit different. They have improved over the past few visits.

Default Great Gulf Homes

Hi there,

I purchased from GGH as well.
My house will also be ready in August 2006.
Vivian the saleswoman from GGH said they should be breaking road sometime in September.

It WAS a great weekend.

It looks like we will see each others home from the backyards.

You had mentioned a partly finished basement. I thought all basements were unfinished. I guess the semi's have extra's.

We went to the decor centre only once, about a month ago.
There is so much to choose from. At the time we went, the kitchen cabinet supplier wasn't chosen. Do you know if one is better than the other? (Aya vs Canac)

Default John and Linda

Hey Guys,

I think were lot 158, we purchased the Gormley. Our street is Richard Underhill Drive.
Our closing date is July 2006.
We visited the decor centre only once as well, we won't be going back till possible August or September because I heard sometimes the things you like now may change when the date gets closer to your appointment.

From what I've heard from our sales woman, she thinks were probably going to end up with Canac which I'm actually happy with because their's much more of a selection and also their office is located on John and Woodbine. You can actually go in and look at all their set ups.
I'm not sure what Robin1 means about partly finished basement.

I think on the semi-detached homes you can get a partially finished basement. It may contain another bedroom. I've seen that on other builders advertising.

John and Woodbine would be very handy for me, as we live close to that area.

We were given a price list of available upgrades except the kitchen cabinets. I hope they don't change.
