Synthetic/Artificial Lawn/Grass
My grass look hideous so I was pondering about synthetic grass. Any one has any suggestions or comments about it? How much would it cost usually? Thanks

x2 - sort of.
I'm interested in installing a synthetic lawn system with a good fall safety rating around a playground. If anyone has experience and/or advice I would appreciate it also.

I looked into this around 2008. Fieldturf is what I wanted to install then. I brought MDW to see the U of Ottawa turf and got her agreement in principle.
No local supplier though as there's only one exclusive dealer in Ontario. I spoke to the sales and got quoted about $8/sq ft and if you get a local company to prep it to their specs, I think it was about $6/ sq ft. I ended up replacing it with sod at $3/sq ft including removal of old, removal of 4 inches of soil, replace topsoil, supply and install sod. I am now looking into using microclover mix in the back if I can find a supplier here in Ottawa. Good luck and let us know what you end up doing.
