![]() I am now looking at hiring a professional service to take a second look for me. Has anyone hired someone or a company for this sort of service before? Any information is appreciated. |

Check for openings in the outside corner siding posts of your house, where the siding meets.
I found a mouse nest in my shed earlier this year and I couldn't figure out how they got in at first. I eventually realized that they were crawling up in the openings of the outside corner posts and through the gaps in the wood wall frames.

We called them once when we had a bat in our attic, and my friend used the company when he had a bird's nest in his exhaust vent. They were prompt and got the job done quickly each time. Good luck |

Suggest you check the gap around hrv/dryer/fireplace vents - from the inside if you can
Often its a round pipe in a large square hole cut by a chainsaw. Other question is what is attracting them? I use a sonic mouse buzzer in a travel trailer which seems to work. |

Putting mouse traps beside walls in the basement will get them. Mice have poor vision and run along walls so that's the best place to put them. A short cut lawn in preparation for the winter helps keep them away from your property.

Assessments are always nominal, it's the actual service that will cost you. Good luck!

There are ultrasonic pest repellents. They have very good reviews and are not bothering children and pets. It's a more humane way to get rid of mice (indoors).
look at this one for example: https://www.amazon.ca/Belletek-Ultra...repeller&psc=1 only $34. We just found a little bugger outside on our patio and I got a live trap for mice from CT, and just put some peanut butter (didn't use the glue strip) and sure enough he got caught overnight. I left an old rag so he won't freeze and in the morning I drove and released him in a forest. At least I give him a chance. Tonight we put it again, just in case he has family around ![]() |
