I remember liking the Clairmont when they first released last summer. It was priced at $465k. Can't believe Minto now wants $533k for the same house

I can't believe how much they hiked up the prices! When Harmony was first released, one of the Townhomes we considered was 320K. Now it is 372.9K!

Just curious, for a typical 36' or 30' single house, how much (in average) was increased since Harmony's first opening? Remeber somebody posted a price list before, but cannot remember where it is.

This is the reality of the market. New townhomes in Stittsville built by Urbandale (Phase 1 Bradley Commons) range from 380k for the Calypso model to 428k for the Santa Maria model.

Correction to my earlier statement about how Minto is distributing the lots. There will be a lottery! That's why there were no lineups yet as I drove by today.

Hi jemy, just curious, did you secure a lot when you were there?

If people are still lining up (or in this case, more people show up for lottery compared to lots available), then this drives demand, which Minto knows that they can increase the prices..

Greg, not sure if there was a system glitch or if my post got deleted (together with another post)?

All I was saying is it will be interesting to see what Glenview and Caivan will offer when they are ready for sale, as they will be building right around this community...I don't think that was a slam against Minto by any stretch, they are a business and they can price homes as they wish. The markets will respond accordingly.
