Default Group Buy - Central Vac - April 2014

Hello listmates,

I'm starting a new thread for a Group Buy for Central Vac from Supervacs (www.supervacs.ca).

Based on reviews from others on the list, the Cana-Vac 399LS and 700LS models seem to be very popular. Supervacs offers a good deal for a group buy on these models.

The regular price is $849 + hose cover $20 = $869 (plus tax).

For group of 5 the price will be $699 incl hose cover (plus tax)
For group of 10 the price is $679 incl hose cover (plus tax).
$35 Installation Credit if Installation is requested.

Warranty:
15 Year Motor
10 Year Labour
3 Year Parts

We already have 3 in the group, so we're almost there

Default update

Seems that we have 4 people we know about in the group and some made deposits.

Since not everyone can post to the group (not registered yet) to let us know that they joined the group, Jonathan from Supervacs asked that whoever wants to buy with the group will place a deposit so they can track the number of people and give us updates.

It's a great deal that can save us all some money

I just got off the phone with them and we have 5 deposits right now. They will wait until the 17th to order them so if somebody is still interested in joining, please give them a call as soon as possible. The vacuums will be ready in store early the following week.

Awesome, thanks for the update. We're going to head in this weekend and look at the performance package and schedule the install since we're in need of one a.s.a.p. with a dusty house!

How does Cana-Vac compare with Electrolux one at Costco? It is $499 in store.

Installed ours earlier this week...works like a charm!

(and the new swivel heads on the vacuum and hardwood tool are sooo handy!)

Warranty on the Canavac is much longer and the motor is stronger, however the price is higher. You get what you pay for!

Ya, I was looking into that one from Costco because of the good price. From some on topic reading (not verified) it looks like it's a re-branded Beam (probably http://www.beamvac.com/Productcatalo...enity-QS-375C/ based on the specs) which means that it's quite a bit louder than the Cana-Vacs and with less warranty. It's probably still a good vacuum though.
