Hopefully construction will start soon so we can see how things progress. When is your closing date ?
Hi Liz, we got the Krystal model and our first closing date is April ...I don't know when they will start building since nothing is done on the land.Yes it pays to go check out models in Mount Albert at least you see the construction quality and also get the idea of how your house will look like.

I agree and must say I like the fact it does appear to be a more "exclusive" development.

Hey Liz, welcome to the thread. Which lot did you purchase? Speaking of the model homes, did anyone notice the less than perfect board spacing of the hardwood flooring in the model homes?

I never noticed that, hopefully that will not happen in our home.

Thanks for letting us know, now we can keep our eyes on that during PDI.

Hopefully these pictures aren't too big, photobucket really dropped the quality on them. The board spacing issue was throughout both homes, and was really inconsistent. The built in microwave trim was being bowed out due to the drawer below not closing properly and hitting it. I didn't bother taking pictures of the issues with hardwood stain and paint, as its pretty obvious, and should be corrected. I wasn't trying to be overly picky, this stuff just stood out to me.

Thanks for posting the pics - we did notice some of the quality issues, it seems like they were just rushing to get it done. I'm not sure how long ago those models were built but I have to hope that our homes will have higher standards.
