Default Ceiling joints

Hello,

Can anyone please advise how the ceiling joints and wall (see the photo attached) should be repaired. The builder repaired once by putting some grey compound, sanding and repaint it but it doesn’t make difference after the repair.

Thank you!

I doubt you'll get the builder to do any better than that. If you know a guy who is a drywall wizard, maybe you'll end up with a slight improvement, but the best bang for your buck here is to change the light fixtures out for potlights or low hanging chandeliers.

I know it sounds weird, but you're seeing the variation show up more because the light is close to the ceiling and shining across it. with potlights, light only goes down and you don't see issues on the ceiling. with a chandelier, the light point is further away from the ceiling so the variation becomes less visible.

You can test this effect for yourself by using the flashlight on your phone camera and placing it right up against a wall, shining down the hall. You'll be amazed at what you see.
