Rogers deals after end of "new home free"

Folks, has anyone got experience of going to Rogers for a new deal at the end of the free deal for new homes? Specifically I'm wondering:

1) Do I really have have to play the whole "I'm thinking of going to Bell" game with them, or even cancel and wait for a "please stay" call? Anyone have a good recent deal I can ask them to match without wasting half a day on the phone?

2) I have a Fibe cable coming into the house and Bell seems to say it's available here (Carp). Is it worth it? Price-wise how does it compare to Rog? Is it worth the hassle to change or am I basically only going to save a few bucks a month?

I need fast internet and TV (for soccer). No need for home phone.

When you Rogers just ask to talk to retention service, been working for more than 3 years now. Prices are very comparable with Bell each their preferences
