Default Which Ashcroft floorplan appeals the most to you?

Hi, well first off, we've already signed the initial papers for the construction (closing date next June), mortgage approved, lawyer approved etc.

Is it a big production or even possible to switch options if it doesn't change the price at all?

We originally chose this one:

http://www.ashcrofthomes.ca/uploads/...df/dakota2.pdf

But then we went to Citiplace and saw the 2 models fully furnished as the ones at Central Park were without any furniture. That kinda gave us another perspective on how thigns would look with actual stuff in it. (for one thing the kitchen in the Dakota 2 feels alot smaller with all the appliances in place)

So we are also looking at the other option for the Dakota:

http://www.ashcrofthomes.ca/uploads/...-Starter-4.pdf
(The PDF for the Dakota 1 was too blurry for some reason, so i posted the smarter starter 4 because it has the same floorplan)

So the main floor is the central issue; choosing between bigger kitchen + smaller living room area and smaller kitchen + larger living room area.

Thanks

I prefer the 2nd floor plan.

Good luck!

nice thing about the first one though was the laundry room on the main floor. not a dealbreaker either way for me though.

2nd floor plan for sure. Bigger kitchen and also the living area is wider.

The first floor plan has 10.5'w living area which I find too narrow for proper placement of furniture.

I would also get the island (we used ours all the time) and the fireplace in the corner.

If they both have finished basements, then the smaller living room area shouldn't really be an issue since you would have that extra space so I vote for the house with the bigger kitchen also.

Definitely the larger kitchen area. The second floorplan appears to be a better use of space, and looking at the pictures the smaller kitchen is claustrophobic feeling. Good luck!
