Question HVAC vents making popping sound...

I can hear the vent pipes making a poping sound as the connections seem to be contracting and expanding constantly when the heat is on. The builder says this is normal, but it is quite annoying.

Is there a way to fix this? Its inside a wall, and the vent ends in the master bedroom.

small expansion noises are hard to eliminate, but if you're getting a big banging in the duct when the fan first turns on, it's likely oilcanning, and can usually be fixed with a hammer.
