Drywall with carry-in in Ottawa?

Looking to buy around $1000 of drywall. I suspect Home Depot and the other big-boxes aren't the cheapest but it's painful to try to establish best price and service by calling the myriad of building supplies places. My local Home Hardware (literally five mins drive) does drywall but no carry-in.

I know exactly the order I want to place - anyone done the legwork and found a decent (ideally west-end) building materials supplier with good prices who'll also do the carry-in to my (walk out) basement?

My bros in Ottawa used these guys - he said they did a great job.

As they were carrying the drywall downstairs my brother said "I bet you guys get places like this all the time". The guy replied - "Ah, not much worse than this". LOL

Thanks, I did see these folks. They seem a bit more expensive but great to get clear info and pricing online. May well go with them if I don't turn up anything else. I assume given the countrywide coverage that they have deals setup with various building suppliers - smart move.

Not sure if you have a Bytown lumber in the west end but they have a complete deliver and carry in service.

We purchased ours at Home Depot and paid $1/sheet to have them deliver and carry in (down to the basement). Best $$ ever spent, those guys were sweating!

Thanks for the thoughts. Think I'll call Morin and Bytown tomorrow.

Another thing putting me off HD is I need some 54" drywall as part of the load (9' basement ceilings) and I don't think they stock it.

I would get a couple of quotes from the HDs around you. They all have different pricing. I had HD in Barrhaven deliver 60 sheets of drywall, 10 sheets of cement board, 6 sheets of mould resistant drywall, 120 2by4s and other building materials and they moved all of it in the basement for $75.00 for the deliver and into the basement.

Morin Bros, they waived the fee to put it in the basement since I helped them. One person outside, two of us inside putting it through a basement window.
