Default Weeds

Just did some interlock in my backyard since I couldn't handle the grass in barrhaven any longer. I'm noticing some weeds coming up under the small areas of my PVC fence from my neighbours yard.

Is there some sort of fence guard that can be put down under the gap to prevent the weeds from coming under? I was thinking of cutting some sort of PVC panel and place it down below it would look a bit weird though.

American weed killer ships to Canada. CBSA doesn't care (it's not federally banned). That link is the best bang for the buck as far as pre-mixed goes, but definitely consider the concentrate if you have a lot to deal with.

The link in the previous post is to a Roundup product that kills everything including grass. You do not want to spray that under the fence unless you want an enemy for a neighbour. Besides, you can still buy Roundup in Ontario and there is no need to buy it from a USA company and have it shipped.

What you can not buy in Ontario ( unless you operate a golf course ) is proper weed killers, the best being Killex with 2 4-D. This product is a concentrate so you will need buy a sprayer. This product can also be purchased online within Canada.

Remember, 2 4-D is the key ingredient.

hampt - what I've done before is dig a small trench and fill it with stone dust.

or you could put a treated 2 x 4 under the fence

or you can make a non selective weed killer with vinegar, salt, and dish soap
