Did you cut out small core or probe the insulation to verify the actual thickness?

I'm using a piece of wire as a depth gauge.

It's nice to know that the company is going to make good on what you agreed on.

They say they'll be back one afternoon this week.

More interestingly, I just took delivery of a new basement subfloor system, made by the company of a neighbour of mine. It will be showing up soon as a competitor to Dricore, but it's all thermoplastic, so no wood to rot. Looks really promising to me. I've got 200 tiles to install once the spray foam is done.

Spray foam fixed today. What a difference the right crew makes.

Pictures coming.

Well, I wrote a rather negative Homestars review about my spray foam experience, and it was published, the company responded and lied about me not paying, and then the review was taken down by Homestars.

This isn't good. That I see, I did not violate any review rules.

Here is a clipping of my review:

After it went live, the owner of the company called me to say, "F*** you."

Seriously.

Wow is all I can say. Homestars is there so the public can get honest feedback on contractors and vendors. I didn't think that there was anything wrong with your review. From what it seems to me, you just wanted what you paid for.

Turns out, Homestars pulled the review because I reported that the owner of Foamism called me to say, "F*** off." Homestars doesn't even like "F***". They wouldn't tell me what was wrong with my review(!) Only that it broke language rules.

I changed it to "[something] off", and it passed. It's back up.

Thing is, I think I got the quote wrong. I think he told me to "Go f*** yourself."

I said, "That's fine, Mario." And hung up.

Oh well, similar sentiment. I don't foresee Mario complaining about the misquote.

When will people learn? Had he called me and pleaded his case that I got a good job, and he deserved more than 4/10, maybe I would have raised the review a little and focused more on that. But now? After swearing at me? And the irate phone call before? The guy has anger management issues.

Holy crap. Now Mario is saying this:
Quote:
Due to privacy concerns I cannot give you his full name but I would refrain from doing any work for him as you will not get your money. This is a simple case of a customer trying to sabotage a family run business. This client has also altered his response on several occasions to justify his means. I have advised all contractors to stay away from his home as he is a thief and still owes our company a lot of money.
OMFG.
