Default Kitchen Backsplash Installer

Iím looking to get a kitchen backsplash installed a small area about 18sqft.

Can anyone recommend a tile installer or contractor for this?

What should I be looking for as far as labour costs for a job of this size?

I'd do it for $1000 (plus materials of course).

Bumping up this thread.

I am looking to get a marble backsplash installed in my kitchen around 20sqft.

Does anyone have a tile installer they can recommend?

Just saw this.

Al and Oz did some meticulous work for me.

I had a few 10 year old cracked tiles. The color difference would be obvious once replaced with new.

They removed the old tiles from the area under the carpet, replaced the cracked ones with the older ones for color consistency, and installed the new ones under the carpet so that you don't see the contrast.

I know they do backsplash as well. Give them a ring:

I was quoted $500 for a 22 square foot backsplash. Plus materials of course. In the end I decided to do it myself and I am working on it now. We chose a tumbled stone 2" x 4" tile. To make it unique I have also integrated some Green River fish fossils from Colorado that are 4" by 6". Now we have a school of 65 million year old fossil fish swimming around in our kitchen. Looks pretty sweet.

How easy is this to DIY? I want to do a simple white subway tile backsplash. The tiles themselves cost me like $30.

I'm tempted to frame a little temporary drywall and spend a few bucks on materials to do a practice run.
