is it ok to install in-wall speakers to an insulated outside wall? i/s it ok to install them close to a window? will there be any moisture that can possibly damage the speakers? thanks

You need to maintain the vapour barrier. There are vapour boxes specifically designed to do this. Installing them post drywall can be difficult.

You can install them anywhere you want, but it may not look as nice close to a window.

We put in ceiling speakers in our house. During the rough in of the speaker locations, our builder phoned and asked us to provide vapour barrier boxes for the speakers so that the vapour barrier would not be damaged, this was very important.
