Home hardware has a good selection of pvc fence as a special order option. Recommend max 6 ft centres unless you upgrade to horizontal steel inserts.

I installed the Costco fence last year. You get what you pay for as far as quality is concerned.

Oh really? I'd be I treated in hearing more.

My brother in law has Fence All coming for an estimate for a DIY kit with them drilling the post holes. Will post later...

I came across this thread and thought I would create an account to share my thoughts and costs with you.

So I purchased the Keter PVC fencing in store at Costco for $299.99 + Tax per box in Regina. I bought four kits so after tax I paid $1319.96 for 96 linear feet of fencing and 16 posts.

My first word of advice is don't make the mistake I made! When mapping out my design I figured out I needed 16 posts however I didn't fully think it through. Each box has 4 posts but only 3 sections of fence which makes sense. After leaving the space for my gate I was 1 and a half sections of fence short. (The half section is because my end piece was less then half a section making it possible to cut my last panel and rail in half to use it top and bottom.)

I went on Keter's website and filled out the part request which was forwarded to a Canadian distributor called AccentHome. They gave me a quote that I was quite happy with. To get the extra parts I needed the quote was $157.50 including taxes and freight.

I dug all the holes and installed the fence myself. I fortunately have a bobcat so I just had to rent an auger for it to dig the holes. The first 8 posts I mixed post cement however after using significantly more cement then I thought I would, I thought I'd give out a new product Lowes carries a try. It's called Fast 2k which is a expanding foam post back-fill which comes in a small two part package. They claim its the equivalent of three bags of cement however I'd say it's closer to 2. Anyway the stuff works great and way easier to handle then cement. Just do mix it too long or it will explode in your face! I speak from experience haha.

I also added a cedar post inside the plastic post on either side of the gate to add extra strength.

Here is my price breakdown for 108 feet of fence and a 4' gate.

Fencing: $1,319.96 (Costco in store)
Gate: $252.99 (Costco.ca)
Extra Fence + Parts: $157.50 (Accent Home)
Auger Rental: $123.76 (Weekend Rate at Bobcat of Regina)
Cement/Fast 2K: $350.19 (Lowes / Home Depot)
2 Cedar Posts: $43.98 (Home Depot)
-----------------
Total: $2,248.38.

So including everything it cost my to install the fence (less my time) + the gate, it worked out to be $20.07 a linear foot installed.

All in all I am quite happy with the fence. It is PVC so it is nowhere near as strong as wood or chainlink, but I don't see it not holding up either. I guess we'll see how it handles our extremely cold winters!
