Default How to prevent Low-e window reflection

I have a Minto house with a backyard facing south. The windows are low-e. Last year I installed a PVC fence and now part of the fence nearest a window is severely warping. This July, the surface temp of this section of fence is over 190 degrees farenheit by 10am on a sunny day.

What can I do ? Is there something that can be applied to the exterior of the window(s) to scatter the light/heat ? I'm not exactly sure what sort of product to look for or where to get it.

Thanks !

Can you post a pic or two? Ive never seen or heard of this happening.

It seems strange that a reflection would be more intense than direct sunlight??

Any chance this was done by a bbq near the fence?

When its a neighbor's window(s) that would get very complicated

Have you spoken to your home insurance about this?

Usually it's the neighbors vinyl siding that warps. There may be a film that can be installed on the exterior of the glass to reduce the reflection.

Yeah, its definitely my windows that are causing the issues when the sun is rising in the morning.

I haven't talked to my insurance company but rather the fence installer who contacted the manufacturer. I may receive a free replacement and install for the section of fence damaged but I don't want to do it until I get the issue resolved or it will happen again.

I'm thinking about putting up some kind of wood barrier right in front of the PVC fence (like a willow privacy screen). I only need a 6 foot wide section. I'm hoping it won't catch fire at those temps.
