Default Basement bathroom question

We're finishing our basement and by mistake we fully drywalled our bathroom (we used the green drywall). From what we understand we should've install bathtub/shower base directly onto the framing. Do we have any options now (shower that can be mounted to the drywall), or do we have to rip off the drywall? Also the builder did a rough in and the drain pipe is 15 inch and 41/2 inch from the drywall. We just noticed that we might be off with that, too.
Any help/suggestions are much appreciated.
Thanks

Build the framing for the tub and anchor it through the drywall into the studs behind. I don't see why you would need to remove the drywall to anchor to the framing behind it.

finishing will be better if you install with studs before drywall...... ripping off a small portion of drywall should not be tough.
