Default Ottawa Moving Companies

I'm finally going to be moving into my house at the end of May and I wanted to get some recommendations/feedback on moving companies in the Ottawa area. I'm looking at Pioneer Moving right now. Has anyone used them?

Here is a fairly recent thread (last post March 22nd) with comments and suggestions: http://www.buildinghomes.ca/communit...ad.php?t=12934

I went with AMJ Campbell. After getting quotes there really wasn't much difference between them and the others because my move was so small. Everyone I dealt with was professional and friendly, the movers protected the hardwood in my new place, cleaned up a scuff on the wall in my old place. Really good to deal with.

Way better experience than my last move within the city. Those movers lost things and I never got them back.

I have used Top Brass Movers for my previous moves, including this one. They are on time and efficient. 613-860-MOVE - Tony is the guy to contact to arrange.

Good luck! So exciting!!!

Hi,

I'm moving by the end of June. Any other suggestions for moving companies?

Cheers,

Google movetaxi

it's $1 a minute, so it's a good options if you only have a few things to move (ie. from an apartment to a townhouse.)

I'm with you on that, but I hurt my back so I'd rather pay so that I don't end up on the floor in pain after. lol...

Has anyone ever tried or heard of Pioneer Moving?

I agree, I did this for our current house with about 30 of my closest friends. However, we were about 10 years younger then.

We used Adam's moving in the past and will be using them again for our upcoming move. They are very professional and nothing got damaged.

I used Adam's Moving as well, based on a co-worker's recommendation. I was very happy with the care they took during our move. Our entire home is hardwood. They where knowledgeable on what would scratch our floors and took the time to felt everything (including removing the metal ends on legs and things like that). When we ran out of felt we were able to buy more from them (it was on the truck) at a discounted price. They earned themselves a big tip.
