Default Rough-in?

Hey everyone,

I recently purchased a greenpark townhouse, and i was wondering if the rough-in's that they offer as an 'upgrade' are worth it?

The 2 things I'm considering are (as quoted by greenpark):
1) "ice maker - rough-in only" - $270 (for water dispensing fridge)
2) "dishwasher rough-in to include plumbing and electrical" - $390

Can these be done through a contractor later on without many problems? and would it cost much to have a professional come in to install the appliances?

Thanks!

you can purchase a kit from HD for about $20 and its very easy to install yourself. Drill a small hole through the grout line to pass the water tube and tap into the cold water pipe in the basement. If you have PEX plumbing it may be a little more difficult since the kits are designed to pierce copper.

Sounds like a lot. Some 14/2 electrical cable to run to the panel, a breaker and a dishwasher kit at HD for $20-30.
