Default Cardel Deposits

Hey guys!

Just wondering if anyone can tell us what the deposit schedule looks like for Cardel?

I have heard some people talk about reserving lots before pricing even came out, too. Sounds scary! How does that work?

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

We paid $2500 lot deposit...that held it for a month while we made sure we had financing, made sure of the lot and builder and just made sure we where able to get the rest of the money which is 10%. After the month ended we let the builder know what structural changes we wanted made from the list they offered for our home and than we paid 10% of that total. That was it really. Later when we finished our design center apt's we also paid 10% of that.

So...
- $2500 lot deposit
- 10% cost of home and structural changes minus the lot depost already paid
- 10% design center upgrades including Deslaurier and Orbital

Ahh, so the number varies on the cost of the house. That's a bit annoying as they don't have pricing for Blackstone out yet. I guess we'll just have to ballpark prices and save from there.

Say you put down the lot deposit and then decide not to go with them, can you get your deposit back or is it forfeited? Just covering all our bases in a worst case scenario.

We did that in nothing hill for a new model they released and didnt have the price for it. Got the prices 3 weeks after we the initial deposit.

So do you have any info on Blackstone? Anything to note? I'm interested in that development as well.

A friend of mine got most of her $$ back from Cardel as well, I believe, after she backed out.

Btw, I heard that all builders where jacking up their prices $15,000 to $20,000 this Fall :-(

I don't have much more than generic information that's already been passed around on here. Sorry! There is a thread somewhere... Looking to be around 45 ft lots, pricing similar to Deer Run, opening in Spring/Summer. To be built with Monarch off of Fernbank Rd.

That's so depressing to hear... freaking prices are outrageous now!

Ppl keep buying, real estate agents help inflate the prices. Until ppl stop buying prices will just keep going up
