Default Mavis S. of Britannia

Hey All,

I was interested in the area and was wondering if any one who lives in the area or purchased a home lately can provide some feedback.

I was driving by and this caught my eye, I saw homes from Conservatory Group, unsure who else is out there. Can anyone else tag on to this thread with any other builders?

Let me know.

I'm not sure there are any new homes available in this area. The conservatory group sign is for their development on Mavis south of Eglinton, but these may or may not be sold out now, not sure.

The area is good though, parents-in-law live there. Mavis is extremely busy though - saturdays particularly when the lights are not in "rush hour" sync but the Heartland shoppers are out in force.

Don't waste your time with the conservatory group - that's a misleading location. Last time I went there, they were only selling the towns they were building at Derry and McLauglin. They did have a few inventory homes, upwards of 750k - but that was a few months back.

Yea
I agree with some of the posters above
I used to live in the area, there is significant aircraft noise as well as traffic
I did see some new semis being built off terry fox opposite the Braeburn golf course (former landfill) but would be weary of the effects of living so close to a former garbage dump.

The semis are being built by summit view homes

Mavis and Matheson is a great area, I know because I live there now. Summit View Homes is a terrible builder, nothing but problems!!!!

Yes I lived there before as well
The area has its pros and cons

Pros convenient location close to shopping /highways

cons beside landfill site - beneath the golfcourse (landfill gas emissions)
And heavy aircraft noise under airport flight path
