![]() Our new house is now 6 month old, I noticed there is a lengthwise crack on our porch that basically runs from end to end. It happened to be right above the foundation wall. We have cold room under the porch. The porch was poured at -7C if that matters ![]() Question - given it's more than just a random short crack and actually runs the entire length, is this something I should be concerned? Is there any effective way to mitigate water getting in and freezing thus cracking it more? Here's picture attached, but only showing the portion. The entire length from end to end has this crack. |

A shrinkage crack - very common and no warranty.
A patch would look bad. Perhaps some liquid concrete sealer - fill the crack then seal the entire thing. Quote:
