Builder Deposit Can I get it back?

Did you sign a contract? If you did it should be listed in there what they do with the deposit. I know on mine they get to keep it, but they can give it back if they want to I would think. Your best bet is to talk to the builder and explain why you want it back, and hopefully it all goes well for you. Good luck!!

Not sure if this is a custom contracted home, or a production builder home. Either way there should be a purchase agreement regarding termination of the contract. Your lawyer would have reviewed this part and will be able to properly explain it to you.
